Redeemer OPC Revised Vision Statement: Building a community to reach a community. Reaching a community to impact the world. (*) Identity: Redeemer OPC seeks to be a dynamic community of Christian discipleship, centered in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, built upon the foundation of God's inerrant Word, holding steadfastly to the gospel of God's sovereign grace in Christ, and confessing the Westminster Standards as one of the most faithful human expositions of Bible doctrine. Vision: 1. Worship: To glorify God through reverent and dynamic worship which is God- centered, biblically-grounded, edifying to God's people, and faithful to a full-orbed application of the scriptural regulative principle of worship. 2. Edification: To build up the people of God through faithful instruction, Bible- centered pastoral care, open-hearted hospitality, and warm Christian fellowship. 3. Outreach: To seek the salvation of the lost through proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit, and through the discipling of individuals and families in our community in order to make an impact for Christ upon the world. Goals (the Vision applied): 1. The numerical growth of Redeemer OPC to 150 active, faithful, fully-involved members. 2. The raising up of two additional gifted and qualified men to serve as Ruling Elders and three such additional men to serve as Deacons. 3. The growth and development of Redeemer OPC to the point where the church can call and support an associate pastor, with a view to this pastor eventually serving as the organizing pastor for a daughter congregation in one of the communities neighboring Toms River or Brick. 4. The raising up of a core of 50 from within Redeemer OPC who would be willing to serve as the core group for this daughter congregation.
